We THINK that the road to the stadium is open tonight. If anyone connected with the works can confirm, that would be great. It looks to be complete and the signs have gone. We haven’t been informed that it’s finished but we were never consulted about it being closed.
Unfortunately, someone has made the decision to close The Portway on Tuesday evening. This will mean that people attending the Swindon Supermarine game will need to plan a different route. As you can see on the map below, the road will be closed from the Park and Ride. The X4 and PR11 bus services are also being forced to terminate at the Beehive.
The road is due to close at 7 pm, so anyone arriving before then shouldn’t be affected. We’d recommend arriving early as the bar will be open and then finding an alternative route home after the game. Luckily there are other options.
For those joining us from Swindon after 7 pm. If you’re travelling down the A345 we’d suggest turning left and at Down Barn Road, then right at the next roundabout. Follow that road and you will reach the stadium.
