Today we make the long journey to Merthyr. It would be great if you could join us to support the lads, but for those that can’t make it, you might notice a difference with the social media updates.

For a long time, match updates have been done by people that are usually working on other things and posting hasn’t been their sole focus. Firing out a quick update when they can as a favour to supporters that can’t make it to a game. We’ve now had a volunteer join us who will focus solely on updates on match days. I’m pleased to welcome Jon Murphy-Gray to the team at Salisbury FC. When he can attend (which he hopes will be most fixtures), he’ll be supplying updates throughout the games. Jon, who was Project Manager at QPR said “To be given the opportunity to update supporters on a Matchday is a real privilege. I can’t wait to involve the supporters as much as possible and start the journey”.

Jon will be finding his feet a bit for the first few matches and starting at an away game will be adding extra complication for him. He was due to start earlier in the month but matches kept getting postponed. He’s been really keen to get going so this has been a bit frustrating.

Welcome to Salisbury FC, Jon.

Do you want to join our behind-the-scenes team as a match day volunteer? So many different and interesting challenges are available. Email us at [email protected] and join the Whites.
