Season 22/23 has been a tough one for the management team and that if anything is an understatement. However, now with the players we have managed to bring in, mixed up with the lads that have come through our youth system we now have a squad that can have a few lads out, and still put out a strong side and give anyone a dam good game at our level.
We sit 10th in the table going into this weekends fixture back at the Ray Mac. this time it is Odd Down FC that are the visitors. This is the first meeting this season between the sides. Last year it was points even over the 2 games. In Bath the Whites destroyed the hosts 6 v 2 a hattrick from Devon, plus Tulk, Savage and Waterson all adding to the home sides misery.
The return game was played on a difficult surface at Bonnymead in December a Kai Gowing goal for the Whites wasn’t enough to secure the points and Odd Down got there revenge when we went down 2-1.
In a strange coincidence that man Gowing left soon after that game and moved up North, but has returned to the sunny south and Salisbury FC this week, and is available for selection in this fixture!
No difficult surfaces this time around thanks to Pete Robinson (when not on the slopes). No doubt about it this side like to play football and 3G or the Ray Mac allow us to do that.
If your not travelling away with the 1st team, then please do come down to the Ray Mac and give these lads a watch, not only will they appreciate your support but financially so will the club.
