We’re pleased to announce that Tom Bragg has joined Salisbury FC from Eastleigh FC, pending FA approval.

Tom is just a few days short of his 21st birthday at the time of publishing. He’s a right-footed centre-back and is 6’1″ tall.

Before joining the Spitfires, Tom’s footballing development started in Southampton’s academy before moving to Hibernian in Scotland for his scholarship, which helped to develop his ability as a central defender prior to joining Eastleigh’s Elite Development Squad programme.

A year later, he was rewarded with his first professional contract in 2021 and made his Spitfires debut in January 2022 as a late substitute against Weymouth.

I spoke to Brian Dutton this morning to get his thoughts on what Tom brings to the team.

Tom is a young centre-back who I feel will be a fantastic addition to our team.

Tom is a player who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and wants to progress his career back into full-time football. I’m delighted Tom has decided to join us when he had numerous other teams at higher levels vying for his signature. I’m sure Tom will have an excellent campaign with us this season.

Welcome to Salisbury FC, Tom Bragg.

This evening we welcome Matt Tubbs’ Bashley FC to the Ray Mac for the 2nd “Footy for a Fiver” pre-season friendly.

Adults are £5 and under 18s are free.
