Salisbury had to come from behind to earn a point at the Ray Mac this evening against Truro City.

The 'Tinners' took the lead in the first minute through Ryan Law, and Josh Hedges levelled from the spot midway through the second half.

Josh Sommerton was making his 200th appearance for Salisbury this evening, becoming the third player after Lewis Benson (209) and Dan Fitchett (209) to reach that mark.

Truro came out of the blocks fast and had the lead inside 60 seconds. Ryan Law found himself in space in the box when a cross from the right-hand side came his way. He made no mistake volleying home near the penalty area's edge.

Salisbury saw plenty of the ball but did not create much in the final third. They had to defend well on the half-hour mark when Dominic Johnson-Fisher looked to get in goal, but the combination of Luke Wilkinson and Josh Sommerton managed to clear the ball.

The game, other than the early goal, didn't really set alight in the first half, with neither 'keeper being caused too many issues.

Truro started the second half quickly again and Tyler Harvey fired a warning shot across the bows when he shot just wide from 18 yards after getting the better of the Salisbury back line.

Salisbury had tweaked their formation in the second half with McCreadie taking a bit more of a central role and they started to push the Truro back line deeper.

The pressure eventually told when Craig Fasanmade got the wrong side of his man, Tom Harrison. The two tangled and referee Neil Pratt pointed to the spot.

For the second game in a row, Josh Hedges stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way, levelling the score at 1-1 with 71 minutes on the clock.

The game opened up as the game continued, and Dave Aziaya made a big save on 75 minutes when he pawed away Tyler Love-Holmes's close-range effort.

Salisbury created a chance of their own on 83 minutes when Jordan Ragguette met a Tom Leggett cross, but it was blocked away.

The big keeper was also called into action in the dying seconds as Truro pushed for a winner—but Aziaya got his fingertips to a cross and deflected the ball away from the waiting forwards at the back post, and Salisbury were able to clear.

Man of the Match as picked by Match Sponsors, Rude Giant Brew Co, was Josh Hedges

Up next for Salisbury is a trip to Hampton and Richmond on Saturday 24th August - kick off is at 3pm.
