A last-minute goal from Maxx Manktelow, along with an opener for Hessenthaler sealed the deal for The Fleet.
The home side started stronger, putting the ball in the back of the net in the 7th minute. Lennon Peake found Kwesi Appiah, who headed the ball to his feet and fired it past Buse, but the linesman flagged the effort for offside.
Ten minutes later, Appiah struck again with a darting run behind the Whites’ defence. His shot beat Will Buse, but it was not on target.
Salisbury had their first big chance in the 19th minute, as Tommy Willard came close to making it three in three. He pulled the trigger on the edge of the box, his bouncing shot taking a deflection on the way through and going out for a corner.
Willard knocked on the door again in the 29th minute, taking a free kick. He curled it around the wall, but it skimmed the netting and went behind for a goal kick.
Neither team was able to break the deadlock going into half-time.
In the 55th minute, Ben Chapman crossed the ball deep into the Salisbury half. It took a deflection before meeting Jaken Hessenthaler, who beat Will Buse.
Ten minutes later, Salisbury had space to attack, as Josh Hedges fired the ball out to the right for Matt Briggs. Briggs took the shot, the ball bouncing along the grass, but Gio Bellagambi poked it out for a corner.
On the brink of added time, Salisbury tried to sneak another ball through to Ollie Bray, but he was snuffed out by the Fleet defence.
The visitors tried to find the equaliser late on, as Hedges found Davies from a free kick. He headed the ball towards goal, but Bellagambi prevented the attack.
However, their efforts were in vain, as right at the death, Maxx Manktelow robbed Will Buse in his own half before darting up the pitch and putting the ball into the net.
