The National League is pleased to join with many in the world of football in welcoming the news that our Chairman Jack Pearce has been awarded the MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
Jack who is now 75 years of age has had a distinguished career in football throughout his working life in a variety of roles and it is for his services to the game that he has been formally recognised with this prestigious award.
Jack is formerly a player and manager of Bognor Regis Town FC and has served the Club and its Community for over 50 years and is currently their Vice-Chairman. Jack has served the National League Board for more than a decade before becoming our Chairman in 2021 as well as Chair of the National League Trust.
Jack has been Vice-Chair of The FA since 2015 and on the FA Council since 2001 serving on the FA Main Board, the National Game Board and Alliance Leagues Committee as Chair amongst many others.
Mark Ives, General Manager of The National League, commented on hearing the news, “It has been a privilege working with Jack over the past 20+ years across the National League and the Football Association, and it is in no doubt that he brings his wealth of experience and knowledge in football to all that he does. I proudly join with all my fellow directors, staff and member clubs in paying tribute to Jack, who has been rightly recognised with this honour”.
