Salisbury fell to only their 2nd home defeat all season as they lost 2-0 to relegation-threatened Harrow Borough. Following the quick turnaround from Thursday night’s win against Plymouth Parkway, the Whites team sheet showed 2 changes; Aaron Simpson and Richard McIntyre replacing Josh Sommerton and Aaron McCreadie.

Salisbury could have made a dream start when inside the opening 60 seconds Noah Coppin found himself in space but he could only drag his shot wide of the far post. It took a further 15 minutes for the next sight of goal from either side; Harrow’s Lonit Talla hitting a deflected shot straight at White’s keeper Ryan Gosney before on 24 minutes Salisbury threatened again; McCintyre getting on the end of Simpson’s right-wing cross but only able to put his header straight at Tyler Tobin in the Harrow goal. Having started to get a good foothold in the game, the away side made that count as they took the lead on 34 minutes when Toby Nnadozie bundled the ball home when in space in the box. Just 4 minutes later they doubled their lead, Harry Seabrook rising highest to head home a long throw from the left-hand side to send Harrow in at half time with a 2 goal lead.

A half time change was made for the Whites, Charlie Gunson coming on for Tom Leggett and a further change was required on 54 minutes with Jack Ball picking up an injury and being replaced by Wayne Robinson. Harrow were looking fairly in control of the game and had a golden opportunity to extend their lead on 58 minutes when they were awarded a penalty. Reece Mitchell stepped up to take it but saw his weak effort held by Gosney low down to his left. On 67 minutes Salisbury did have the ball in the back of the net, however, the referee’s whistle had already gone to signal an infringement inside the area. The Whites huffed and puffed in an effort to get back into the game but were unable to produce a moment to test Tobin in the Harrow goal. Gunson was unlucky to see nobody get on the end of his dangerous ball across and Josh Hedges poked an effort wide but Salisbury were unable to threaten a comeback and Harrow held on for a comfortable 2-0 victory.
