The Whites move up to 18th place in the National League South after two goals secured the win against Enfield Town.
Both sides struggled for total control early on, looking to test the waters with sighters from range, notably from Keeya and Briggs.
The hosts began to grow into the half however, winning a number of corners which threatened the Salisbury backline.
Relentless wind and rain tried its best to hinder both sides under the lights in North London, but the elements failed to put out Josh Hedges’ spark, playing a quick free kick to Briggs, who squared the ball across to Matty Taylor for a tap in just before half-time.
After the break, the visitors became the more confident side, showing more hunger to get the next goal, notably from Taylor, as he was denied his second goal by the linesman.
Yet, this did not faze the Whites, as they finally added their second from a corner just before the hour mark from a Briggs header – via a flick on – into the back of the net.
In a tale as old as time, being two goals to the good proved to be one of the most dangerous score lines in football, as the hosts were able to sustain pressure once the second goal went in.
Enfield supporters looked to rally behind controversy with pleas for penalties and shouting for every possible corner, attempting to suck the ball into the opposition net.
And, eventually, it worked as Enfield’s Bullas scored in the 85th minute to scare the visitors.
Despite the late pressure, the Whites held on to secure another three points away from home.
After gaining seven points from an available nine points in their last three games, Salisbury look ahead to a fixture against Plymouth Parkway in the FA Trophy this Saturday.
