The Whites lose 2-0 away at Dover Athletic after goals from Jones and Nikaj sealed the home side all three points.
The game started off with neither side able to gain a solid spell of possession.
The first half chance of the game came in the eleventh minute when Sharrif’s deflected effort went whiskers wide of Buse’s far post.
The hosts took the lead through Jalen Jones in the 32nd minute when he reacted the fastest to the cross, the defender nodded in from minimal yards.
In the 39th minute, Mampolo threatened the Salisbury box, but Jordan Ngalo was on hand to halt him.
Dover went into the break the happier of the two sides.
Salisbury started the second half a lot better, Taylor bringing those around him into play and getting the hosts running backwards.
In the 55th minute, Ngalo had a shot from distance, however it went the wrong side of the far post from a Whites perspective.
In the 61st minute, Mensah’s effort from a corner was cleared off the line by Hayden Muller.
A mix up between Buse and Muller almost provided Cox with an open goal to double the hosts’ lead, but the ball fell unkindly for the forward.
In the 88th minute the Kent side did double their lead. Nikaj with a calm finish past Buse to all but guarantee the points.
In the fifth and final minute of additional time, Baptiste was fouled in the Salisbury box. Baptiste could only hit the bar in the last action of the game
The final whistle to confirm defeat for the Whites.
