Salisbury welcome Farnborough to the Ray Mac on Saturday for the second-round tie in the Isuzu FA Trophy.
It is the first time the two clubs have met in this competition.
Farnborough have played at the Ray Mac in an FA cup competition before, it took the then Salisbury City a replay to get passed Boro back in 2009 FA Cup tie. The sides drew 0-0 before returning to the Ray Mac for the replay three days later. City won on that occasion 4-2.
Boro’s last trip to the last 64 of the competition came two seasons ago, beating Hampton & Richmond away from home before being knocked out by Braintree Town in the third round.
Last season, they went out to Slough Town. Again, they were drawn away from home as they entered the competition, going down 2-1 at Arbour Park.
Salisbury’s run in the competition last season was equally short-lived. The Whites were knocked out on penalties away at Gosport Borough in the third qualifying round.
The last time Salisbury played in the second round was in the 2019/20 season, and their second-round fixture was the seventh match they had played in the FA Trophy that season. The Whites overcame Dorchester via a replay in the 1st Qualifying Round before beating Kings Langley and Hayes and Yeading as they progressed to the first round.
It then took them a replay to edge past Eastbourne Borough, winning the replay one-nil at the Ray Mac before Chelmsford City won their second-round match comfortably, four-nil.
In terms of league form, both have had a wobble of late – Farnborough were without a win for four consecutive games (drawing 3 and losing 1) before beating Slough Town last weekend.
Salisbury haven’t won since early October when they won away at St Albans, drawing away at Enfield Town in their match last Saturday.

In other news, Jordan Thomas has been recalled from his loan at Salisbury by Yeovil Town.
