Salisbury FC are pleased to announce the signing of Tom Cove after a successful trial period at the club.

Cove, 19, made an appearance against Eastleigh on Tuesday at the Ray Mac, replacing Josh Sommerton in the 60th minute of the match.

A left-footed player, who can play in a range of positions, was at the Southampton Academy as a young player, before spending time at Wycombe Wanderers and, most recently, Aylesbury United of the Southern League Division One Central.

Cove made 46 appearances for Aylesbury after joining partway through the 2023/24 season, going on to score four goals for the club.

Brian Dutton said on signing Cove, “Really pleased to sign Tom Cove, he was tipped to us by strong sources and he made an instant impression whilst on trial.

He is an attacking left back who can also play on either wing. At 19 years of age, he has plenty of development, and we are excited to help him reach his full potential.
