Tommy Willard made it two from two as he made the difference for his side.
The opening chance of the match fell to Rakish Bingham of Farnborough, who drove through the midfield in the 21st minute. He broke into the box and unleashed a shot, but Josh Hedges was able to block it.
Their second chance came from a corner, where Mason Bloomfield got a strong header on the ball. It thundered towards goal, but Will Buse, at full stretch, got two strong gloves to it and claimed the ball.
The deadlock was broken by Tommy Willard in the 28th minute, who made it two goals from two as he received Tom Davies’ pinpoint pass on the edge of the box. The strike glided along the grass and nestled neatly in the back of the net, beating Jack Turner.
Willard had another go just five minutes later, striking the ball hard. Jack Turner collided with the ball, forcing it out to his left-hand side.
At the break, Salisbury had the better end of the scoreline.
In the 56th minute, Ollie Morgan passed the ball to Josh Keeya, who was waiting on the edge of the box. He curled a shot, but Jack Turner was able to claim it.
Farnborough saw the better of the chances over the following ten minutes, including when Bingham came up against Sommerton and Morgan in the box. His attempts ricocheted off the two defenders in white.
Heading into the 73rd minute, Jack Young pulled the trigger on a shot from range. Will Buse dived towards his far post, but the effort was off target.
Ollie Morgan came darting forward just a minute later. He weaved his way around three Farnborough defenders and shot from close range, but Jack Turner made himself big and blocked the attempt.
Late on, in the 87th minute, Noah Coppin squeezed a pass along the byline to Matty Taylor, who tried to poke it in first time; it just dribbled off the back line.
Just minutes later, Salisbury had plenty of space to run into. Hedges passed to Bray, who found Coppin. Noah Coppin attempted to loft the ball over Turner, but his effort landed on the roof of the net.
