Salisbury FC make the 220-mile round trip to Kent on Saturday (31st August) to face Tonbridge Angels for their sixth Vanarama National League South fixture of the season.

Tonbridge have made an unbeaten start to the season with three draws sandwiched by two wins, the most recent of which came against at Farnborough on bank holiday Monday.

They ran out 2-0 winners at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium in Farnborough. Sean Shields grabbed both goals, taking his tally for the season to four.

That followed a goalless draw at home in their previous match against Bath City. Tonbridge currently sit 8th in the table.

Salisbury picked up their second win of the season, beating table-topping Boreham Wood at the Ray Mac last time out. Second-half goals from Craig Fasanmade and Ronan Silva turned around a halftime deficit to pick up all three points following the frustrating defeat away at Hampton and Richmond on the Saturday prior.

This trip will mark the second visit to a ground with an artificial surface, the first being at Hemel Hempstead. The 3G pitch was installed at Longmead in 2022.
