Salisbury have signed midfielder Brandon Liggett on loan from Cheltenham Town.
Liggett, 18, was captain of the Cheltenham youth team and, this summer, signed his first professional contract with the club after passing through their academy system.
The midfielder spent a successful loan at his home town club, Gloucester City, last season, playing in the Vanarama National League North. He joined Gloucester in January 2024 and played 11 matches for them.
Liggett made his debut for Cheltenham Town from the bench against West Ham United in the EFL Trophy in 2022.
Callum Hart said on the arrival of Liggett, “We’re really happy to get Brandon in; he’s a player who has experience at step 3 and step 2. With a large number of games coming up over the next couple of weeks and not being the biggest squad, it’s important we add some depth. Everyone will play a big part. It’s always been about the squad, not just the starting 11.”
“Brandon is a midfielder by trade but can also fill in at full-back if needed. He has great energy levels as a box-to-box midfielder and comes with high praise from Darrell Clarke, so we really look forward to working with him. Thank you to Cheltenham.”
